My Work

The work you see on my home page is a culmination of articles where the sports world and morality mesh. Doing such a thing seems impossible. The sports world can be tricky, complex, and at times confusing. We currently live in a historic, unprecedented time. With NIL and performance enhancing substances being debated throughout courts and institutions, I believe being willing to step into the research and aim to be consistent in the challenge of morality and sports is something this world may avoid at times. It is like fire. I want to continue to step into the fire, where it is challenging, uncommon, and remain consistent within my ethos while learning the nuances and varying aspects of the sports world today.

What better way to gain knowledge and wisdom about the sports world than to be right in it. I (pictured on the furthest right) was able to intern with SUNY Cortland Football for two seasons. The 2023 season ended in historic and beautiful fashion, with the Division III National Championship. My writing has not come from an outside-looking in perspective. Rather, comes from being immersed and living out a life constantly surrounded by athletes coming from different walks of life, perspectives, and motivations.

Thankfully, Cortland has not been the end of my time working in sports. During and since, I have has the privilege to continue to work closely with athletes. This meant spending one-on-one mentorship time with them talking about their lives and spiritual walks.
